Dan Carns began his involvement in the financial services industry in 1990. A graduate of the University of Arizona in 1992, he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, majoring in Finance. In 1992, he began his career with a nationally based financial group, concentrating on investment and insurance services for individuals and business owners. In 1996, he moved his practice to Tucson, AZ along with his wife, Wendi, where she attended the University of Arizona College of Medicine. High school friends, Dan and Wendi have been married since 1995. They have a daughter, Katherine, who was born in September of 1998 and a son, Ryan, who was born in December of 2002.
In 1997, he made the change from working for a national company to joining with a partner in an independent financial services firm. Throughout the next 8 years, he regularly taught educational seminars and retirement workshops, which were offered through a local community college, community organizations and private groups. He has continued to work with foundation groups, throughout his career, for the purpose of educating their members.
Dan moved with his wife and family to Missouri in July of 2004 to build their practices and raise their children. Wendi now works for Mercy Health Care System in St. Louis.
